Fugifilm Finepix S700 180 $. Good deal?

Does this seem like a good camera or is it a little overkill? I will use it pretty much just for taking simple pictures. I do like the option of better zoom though.
There was some talk about image quality,(in dpreviews) especially landscapes in bright sunlight!!

Going to Yosemite! Outdoor pictures in full sunlight is what I will be taking. Recommendations are fine with me.

Maybe look at the Kodak Z712IS (7.1mp, 12x opt. $169 refurb). Or the Kodak Z885 (159)
