i got a dialer virus but i have dsl.will i get an expensive phone bill?
i run a windows xp with verizon dsl.i just got adaware 2007 and ran a scan and it found a dialer virus.i forget which kind.i looked around it i heard it can connect to the internet using long distance numbers.i do not have long distance on my home phone.and i dont have dial up.will i get a high phone bill? i did remove it using that ad aware 2007
no. u have to have a way to connect via dial up first off. secondly… i am gonna assume u have a block for long distance numbers (if you dont get it, most phone companies dont charge to block long distance, 900#, and international calls.) but yeah, once again, if it isnt connected to a dial up modem, it cant dial phone calls.
