How to trim outdoor aloe vera plant (for appearance, not med.)?
I inherited three large aloe vera and each has leaves (fronds?) near the ground that are unhealthy or dead. I’d like to remove them but don’t know how to get in there without getting torn up. Can I do it with gloves and shears or would a sharp knife work better? Should I trim as close to the truck as possible?
Wear gloves and grab the plant with one hand and the leaf with the other and peel it straight down and it will come off easily. then bury the bare part of the stalk with soil.
