How do you choose the best power surge protector/supressor for my PC?
Trying to find the best power surge protector seem much harder than trying to find the right laptop for you.
If you can explain or find me a cheap but the right power surge protector for me, I’ll be deeply grateful. Thanks in advance.
I’m looking for a power protector that has 8 outlets, that provide me enough protection for my PC, that has a 550 watts power supply. Plus, most likely, I’m going to use all of the outlets, for my monitor, Cable modem, speakers, etc.
How muuch joules of protection do I really need? What brand is best or top tiers? Any additional information will help me, thanks!
If you want real protection, invest in a 7 amp UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) and plug ordinary surge protectors into that. 7 Amps will (barely) drive two computers and four monitors plus all small stuff, this is what I use.
