well if you think about it the dog can only go in a circle around the stake, and since the rope is 5 yards long then the radius of that circle is 5. To find the area he can roam you just need to find the area of a circle with a radius of 5.

the formula for area of a circle is
a=pi x r^2
where pi=3.141 and r=the radius of the circle.
plug in five and square it to get 5 x 5 = 25

since the answer you want is in terms of pi then your answer is simply 25 pi
