I was wondering, how does burning your grass make it greener later on? When is the best time to do so, how long should you burn it, and how long does it take to turn green?

Yes. Avoiding a long dissertation, you’re burning off the thatch. Allows water to reach the roots. Adds potash to the soil.
There’s an actual schedule to follow for certain results but basically burn in the early Spring. Let it just burn out. Turns green quickly with rain & warm weather.
